Missing Items

In recent months there have been a lot of items, ranging from snacks to toys, that have gone missing from students bags in 4M.  I have tried very hard to monitor distribution of snacks and movement in and around the bags in the classroom but have had a very limited success in alleviating the problem.

Please ensure you label as much has you can and encourage your child not to bring toys and other special items to school.

I will endeavour to patrol more vigilantly and  keep a more watchful eye over the movement of children in and out of the classroom.  It would be great if you notice any 'new items' appearing at home to contact me.

Thank you for your attention to the matter.

Working with Arrays

In maths this week the children modeled their understanding of multiplication by making arrays.  Arrays are a visual representation of multiplication using columns and rows.
Arrays are also important in demonstrating the relationship between multiplication and division and further on used as an early introduction to understanding algebraic equations.

They have extra specialist sessions to develop the skills necessary to present at the Parent Sharing Day.

Your child will be learning their Unit of Inquiry through dance, art, science, ICT and music.  For more detailed information please see the UOI Page.
