Sharing Day Information

Sharing Day will be the 20th of March.  The starting time is 9.15am to 11.15am.
Parents will rotate through activities in the hall, drama room, art room, classroom and music room.  Mr Gibson has something special in mind so please read the information in the post below.
As we get closer to the day you will be advised of your rotation schedule which will be based on which class your child is in.

Sharing Day - Music Update

As I'm sure you are aware, on Thursday 20th March Year 4 students will be sharing some of their work with you at school. As part of each music session that morning we would like parents to participate alongside their child and perform a simple arrangement of the song "Yesterday". If you play an instrument that is portable, such as a flute, guitar, violin or something similar it would be fantastic if you would bring it that morning. We have plenty of keyboards and percussion instruments here at school for the rest of you.
A musical score of the song along with printable parts  can be found on the Beacon. You need to log in, navigate first to Music and then scroll down to Yr 4. Click on the "Yesterday" icon and choose the part that you would like to play. If you are not confident playing the melody or harmony parts you can choose one of the percussion parts printed near the end which include music for instruments such as triangle or maracas. It would be much appreciated if you would print out the one sheet that you need and bring it that morning.
As always, the emphasis will be on inclusivity and performing together. You won't be singled out for a solo! I look forward to seeing (and hearing) you on the 30th March!

Missing Items

In recent months there have been a lot of items, ranging from snacks to toys, that have gone missing from students bags in 4M.  I have tried very hard to monitor distribution of snacks and movement in and around the bags in the classroom but have had a very limited success in alleviating the problem.

Please ensure you label as much has you can and encourage your child not to bring toys and other special items to school.

I will endeavour to patrol more vigilantly and  keep a more watchful eye over the movement of children in and out of the classroom.  It would be great if you notice any 'new items' appearing at home to contact me.
